Covid-19 has shown that resilient actors, who make the most of the varied skills their acting training has given them, are the actors who can diversify for a lasting career.
SCREEN SCHOOL, lead by professional practitioners, coaches & agents, will train you for survival and success in the industry – teaching you how to create a voice reel, develop screen acting techniques and even record a podcast!
3 hours of workshops a day for five days!!
CREATE A VOICE REEL – with a professional Voice Over Artist. (Guest Teacher to be announced shortly).
Discover how to make a Voice Reel – a Voice Over Artist & Audiobook Narrator, will coach you on how to record, narrate, and edit your own audio samples.
By the end of the course you will have narrated, recorded and edited your own audio book sample!
SCREEN ACTING with Juliette Caton.
What are the differences between theatre and screen acting? Acting & Voice Coach, Juliette, will teach you how to deliver a performance that ‘reads’ to the audience and works for the screen.
Juliette’s film career began when she was directed by Martin Scorsese as Christ’s Guardian Angel in the controversial The Last Temptation Of Christ. She went on to star opposite Charlie Sheen in the adventure epic Courage Mountain, produced by Michael & Joel Douglas and worked as an actress in theatre, film and television for twenty years playing roles opposite John Thaw, Dominic Monaghan, Charlotte Rampling, Trevor Eve and Iain Glenn..
Juliette has gone on to coaching acting and voice on movies such as ‘Molly Moon’ & ‘Never Let Me Go’ and her workshops will lead you to developing the skills needed as a screen actor.
By the end of the course you will have developed your screen acting skills and self taped your own casting scene!
BECOME A PODCASTER!
Juliette is also a podcast presenter and she will coach you in every stage of creating your own podcast from concept to launch.
By the end of the course – you will have recorded the first episode of a podcast!
AGENCY Q & A with Samantha Dodd.
Learn how the industry is changing and receive professional advice on how to engage with your training so that you can be successful at securing an Agent.
Samantha Dodd, of the CareyDodd Agency, has been working in the industry for over 25 years. During this time she has been involved with many productions that have won BAFTA , EMMYs and Royal Television Society awards.
Her work as both assistant and agent span the last two decades and she has enjoyed developing many established and new talents’ careers. Alongside working with many mainstream actors, Samantha’s specialist areas include performance capture, prosthetics, physical theatre and mask. She is a highly sort after consultant specialising in Physical/Creature teams and SFX/VFX casting for films, TV and commercials.
She is also the lead agent for the new Voice Over arm of the agency, Carey Dodd Voices.
By the end of the course you will understand what an agent is looking for and how to prepare yourself for the industry!
