Battle of the Bands - Hexagon Theatre - Saturday 23rd July The final of the Battle of the Bands competition where eight school bands battled it out infront of an audience of 1000 people to win £5000 of music equipment and all proceeds went to pay for music therapy for children with autism. We were invited to appear as special guests and performed our 'King of Pop and Queen of Rock' medley whilst the judges retired. Here are some candid backstage shots of everyone having a great time....the adrenalin was flowing and much fun was had! Everyone looked amazing and we received so many compliments about how professional the pupils were. The SOTA Christmas Cheer Tour 2009 SOTA School pupils launched the SOTA Christmas Cheer Tour by opening the Oracle Christmas Fair. The Christmas Cheer Company sung favourite carols and christmas songs in harmony, raising the spirits of christmas shoppers. We also toured three old peoples homes and sung to the children and famillies at the Lions Ward of the Royal Berks Hospital. We all enjoyed the lovely christmassy feeling it gave us to know we were bringing joy and happiness to the people of Reading. SOTA in Performance - singing, dancing and acting within the community. |
