| | Louise Williams: Co-conductor of the SOTATM Adult Rock Choir

Louise studied music and drama at Brunel University, with flute and singing as her specialities. After singing with a variety of local groups, she joined the BBC Symphony Chorus in 1995, becoming secretary for 3 years. During that time, she performed with a range of international conductors and orchestras both at home and abroad, and was a featured soloist in a concert of music by Carl Rutti broadcast on Radio 3. Her efforts were rewarded by being made an Honorary Member in 2004. Having achieved her long held ambition of qualifying as a teacher, she has now set her sights firmly on encouraging and enthusing people in her first love, music. Currently she is Deputy Conductor of the North-East Hampshire Young Singers and established the flute ensembles, ‘Flute Salad’ and ‘Fresh Flute Salad’ and ‘Flute Cocktail’ and more recently, ‘Liquorice Stix’ for the clarinet players in the area. Louise works with the Hampshire Music Service, teaching ukulele as well as flute, clarinet and singing and joined as co-conductor of the Sota Adult Rock Choir in 2011. | | |
