SOTA SCHOOL - Dance, Singing, Drama & Musical Theatre classes in Reading, Windsor, Bracknell & Cookham.
SOTA School is a 3x hour weekly performing arts experience for 6 -16 year olds, giving lessons in singing, dance, drama & Musical Theatre at our Reading, Windsor, Bracknell & Cookham venues. Each session begins with a warm-up, limber and stretch all together, before splitting into their three age groups. Jades: 6 - 9 years Emeralds: 10 -12 years Silvers: 13 - 18 years
DANCE SINGING DRAMA Each group rotates between dance, singing and drama workshops, learning practical skills and techinques and working towards, presentations, performances and shows. SOTA School in Reading SOTA School in Reading runs from 10.30 - 1.30pm at Reading Girls School every saturday. We have performed at the Hexagon Theatre several times and last year we performed our first school show 'West End to Hollywood' at the Bearwood Theatre. At Christmas we take our Christmas Cheer Tour to local old peoples homes singing christmas songs in harmony and in December 2009 we were also invited to open the Oracle Christmas Fair. In 2010, SOTA School pupils in Reading will be performing at the Hexagon once again in a rock and pop appearance for Battle of the Bands followed by our first Drama Festival at the Oakwood Centre Theatre in Woodley. SOTA School in Windsor In 2009 SOTA School pupils from Windsor were invited to perform in the professional production of Joseph & His Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat which for many pupils was a dream come true. Followed by a very exciting time watching SOTA Windsor dance teacher, Danyl Johnson, become a semi-finalist in the X-Factor. The year ended with a fantastic pantomime performance at the Windsor Firestation arts Centre which is our fabulous Windsor venue.
SOTA School in Bracknell - opened in April 2010.
SOTA School in Cookham - opened in September 2011.
All our teachers are professionally trained, experienced and qualified and we also regularly invite professional performers to give master classes to our pupils, giving a dynamic and varied training.
